凱契根是阿拉斯加第四大，也是阿州最南端的城鎮，以出產鮭魚和木材聞名，素有“世界鮭魚之都”的美稱，也是世界最大圖騰雕刻集中地。凱契根為1881年淘金潮時期最早被發現之淘金古鎮之一。附近有米斯提峽灣公園、印地安圖騰中心及鮭魚溯溪等景點。

world. The canneries are busy and the stream below Creek Street's rustic
boardwalk bustles with life. Visit the ancient grove of Totem Bight, the largest
collection of authentic totem poles anywhere. |

Juneau was founded as a gold-mining camp in
1880. It became Alaska territorial capital in 1906. Government activities are
central to Juneau’s economy, employing some two-fifths of the workforce. Fishing
and forestry are also important, as is tourism, particularly because of cruise
ships plying the Inside Passage. |

The port of Skagway is a popular stop for
cruise ships, and the tourist trade is a big part of the business of Skagway.
The White Pass and Yukon Route narrow gauge railroad, part of the area's mining
past, is now in operation purely for the tourist trade and runs throughout the
summer months. |

是一條由冰河切割而成的峽谷，萬餘年前冰河消退，海水灌入而成今日的壯觀景像。崔西峽灣兩側有無數條潮汐冰河，近年來冰河因溫室效應而消退，使得峽灣更形深入，本來是冰河的前端，現在則成為海面。
Tracy Arm is a narrow fjord that winds
through towering mountains and massive glaciers for over thirty miles. At the
end of this fjord is an amazing view of the Sawyer Glacier. Cruises through
Tracy Arm allow the passengers to witness the "calving" of icebergs as giagantic
chunks of ice break away from the glaciers. |
